About
The house, located on the banks at the junction of Dnipro and the Kozyn River and inspired by the Prairie style of Frank L. Wright, is actually deep in a lush evergreen forest, with which it’s deeply integrated- an ideal example of unity with nature. This residential building, based on Japanese temples, employs an open plan, prevailing horizontal lines, low-pitched roofs with broad overhanging eaves, finished with rough natural materials (slate, wood, stone, handmade clinker brick), and a rhythmic facade interspersed with frameworks. A conference table and sunken courtyard lounge area pose the question- inside or outside… or both!
