Sewri Club is a high-luxury residential clubhouse in Mumbai developed by Lodha, envisioned as an exclusive social and wellness extension of a larger residential development. Located within a rapidly transforming urban district where industrial context meets new high-rise living, the project reflects Mumbai’s dual character — dense, energetic, and constantly evolving — while offering residents a controlled, serene architectural environment that functions as an urban retreat. The 2,407 sqm clubhouse was designed by YODEZEEN as a continuous spatial narrative where daily rituals are reframed through the lens of modern luxury and architectural precision.
Concept
The design language draws inspiration from Art Deco architecture, reinterpreting its sense of grandeur through a contemporary lens.
This creates an atmosphere that feels both grounded in architectural history and subtly futuristic, evoking the impression of a refined, almost cosmic vessel embedded within the urban fabric.
Result
The sport zone is inspired by the mythology of Olympus and the idealized forms of ancient gods. This conceptual reference translates the idea of physical perfection into architectural language, positioning fitness as a contemporary ritual of self-transformation. A defining feature of the space is a dome ceiling enriched with an antique-inspired bas-relief, which anchors the interior and reinforces its mythological undertone. The use of mirrored surfaces and gradient transitions into transparent glass elements introduces a dynamic interplay of reflection and depth.
