Sometimes the location can tell you how to build. The natural terrain is the starting point for this rural dwelling. The elevation variations near the hill were used to create a split-level, the lower portion becoming the garage and driveway, above and to the left of it, the living zone of house. The house creates an intimate dialogue between the internal and external- it is nestled in trees and some trees are nestled within it! For the façade we used natural materials like wood and stone that could be found on location.
