Ethereal Villa is a private residence located in the heart of a pine forest, surrounded by nature and serenity. Designed as a retreat for a family seeking balance, calm, and sensory richness, the house dissolves the boundary between architecture and landscape. Its refined minimalist exterior and carefully choreographed interior spaces reflect a quiet luxury rooted in tactility and proportion.
Concept
The core idea behind Ethereal Villa was to create a home that embodies stillness, airiness, and light.
The architecture is restrained yet expressive, formed around views, light, and material harmony. Large windows open the home to the forest, while neutral tones, natural textures, and floating architectural volumes amplify the sense of weightlessness. Every line is intentional, every surface designed to evoke calm.
Challenge
One of the main challenges was to ensure privacy without compromising openness. The site demanded a sensitive integration with the surrounding forest while maintaining a strong architectural identity. Additionally, the interiors had to remain flexible and multi-functional to serve the evolving needs of a multigenerational family — without interrupting the visual purity of the space.
Layout
The villa is composed of several interlinked volumes arranged around a central courtyard. This layout allows natural light to flood the interior and provides each room with a connection to greenery. Public areas — the living room, dining space, and kitchen — are fluid and open-plan, while private zones, including bedrooms and guest rooms, are subtly secluded. A spa area and lounge zones complete the composition, offering relaxation and sensory continuity with the outdoors.
