Brief

The clients, a large family with 5 children, host gatherings for 20-30 people during holidays. Therefore, the project aimed to create a spacious, functional area with a large kitchen, dining, and living space that connects to the terrace when the windows are open.

Challenge

Preserving the family’s rich cultural traditions while infusing them with a contemporary interpretation was a key challenge. Additionally, designing stairs around the elevator shaft to maintain natural light penetration posed complexity. Architects devised “transparent” stairs to alleviate visual bulkiness and let the sunlight in.

Layout

The house features 4 bedrooms on the first floor, sitting areas, scenic and technical kitchens, an office, and a master suite on the second floor with separate wardrobes for him and her.

Concept

The interior incorporates hints of Oriental style to reflect cultural nuances and modern interpretations. The design emphasizes comfort and functionality while honoring tradition.

Implementation

Materials such as travertine, veneered oak, Breccia Pontificia marble, and copper accents adorn the living, dining, and open kitchen areas. A custom-designed sink crafted from accent orange stone serves as a focal point in the dining zone. The bespoke fireplace, crafted from copper, serves as a central composition.

The office exudes a tranquil atmosphere with dark tones and textured veneers, departing from typical office setups. Exclusive shelving and work desk blend veneer and travertine seamlessly.

In the master bedroom, a custom fabric screen behind a bed creates an Oriental ambiance. Next to it YODEZEEN designers placed a contemporary sculpture by Ukrainian artist Nazar Bilyk. The room’s centerpiece, a 360-degree fireplace, doubles as a TV stand and art relief, enhancing functionality and aesthetics.

Notably, the red powder room features YODEZEEN’s signature design with red travertine and bronze elements. The master bathroom showcases a unified design with a single stone piece encompassing two sinks and a bathtub.

The spa area integrates terracotta travertine and wood, emphasizing natural elements for relaxation and harmony with nature.

This project exemplifies studio’s commitment to blending cultural heritage with contemporary design elements, resulting in a harmonious living space for the client’s family gatherings and opulent lifestyle.
